Naskah Drama Keong Mas

(English)

SCENE 1

In the Daha Royal Palace, there lived a king named Raja Daha with his two beautiful daughters. Her daughter, Dewi Galuh Candra Kirana, is a friendly and beautiful woman. She will be married to a prince from the Kahuripan kingdom, Raden Inu Kertapati .

Raja Daha  : "My daughter, come here!"

(Calls his two daughters)

Kirana: "What is it, Father?" 

(approaching)

Ajeng:  "Did your father also call me?"

(Comes after Kirana)

Raja Daha :  “Yes, my daughter. There is something Father wants to tell you both. Tomorrow, Raden Inu Kertapati from the Kahuripan kingdom will come here."

Ajeng:  "Then why? What does that have to do with us, Father?”

Raja Daha:  " Father has made an agreement with his father, that he will  marry off one of his daughters with Raden Inu."

Ajeng :  (blinks happily)

"Which of us will be married to Raden Inu, Father?"

Raja Daha:  "We have agreed to marry Candra Kirana to Raden Inu."

Kirana :  (Smiles happily and hugs Raja Daha)

“Thank you, Father…I'm very happy. This marriage was my dream since childhood…”

Raja Daha :  "Really my daughter? Then it's not wrong, Father chose you as a candidate for Raden Inu's wife. Come on, let's prepare everything to welcome Raden Inu's arrival tomorrow."

Raja Daha and Candra Kirana left the room which is now only occupied by Galuh Ajeng. Although Candra Kirana and her father are happy with this marriage, it turns out that Galuh Ajeng has a different opinion. He felt angry and disappointed.

Ajeng :  “I don't agree with this marriage! Why should Kirana be chosen and not me!? In fact, it's clear I'm prettier than her!! Ugh, this isn't fair! I'm the only one who is Raden Inu's wife!! Only me, not Kirana! Now what should I do?”

(Thinking hard while pacing)

Galuh Ajeng who made a bad plan for Kirana immediately went into the forest to meet a witch.

Ajeng :  "Excuse me!! Is anyone here!??”

Witch  : “Oh, yes! Please come in pretty girl, come here…”

Ajeng  : “Hm, I need your help! Please help me!"

Witch  : "What do you want me to do?"

Ajeng  : "I want Kirana's marriage with Raden Inu to be annulled!!"

Witch  : (Nods)

“Oh..yes..yes…yes I see what you mean. Then what do you want me to do for Kirana? Curse it?? What curse do you want? Is it a deadly poison or am I cursing him with tetanus!!?”

Ajeng :  "I leave everything to you! Obviously I want Kirana to suffer!!”

Witch :  "Okay, I will curse Candra Kirana so she can't marry Raden Inu!!"

Ajeng :  (smiling happily)

“Thanks for your help, it's a pleasure to work with a mage like you! Here's money as a starting wage for you. Later if your curse is successful, I will give you more!!”

Witch :  (receives the money)

After asking the witch for help, Galuh Ajeng returned to the palace and wanted to meet Raja Daha.

Ajeng :  “Father…Dad…where is your father? There's something I want to talk about!!”

Raja Daha :  "What's wrong my daughter?"

Ajeng :  "This is about Candra Kirana, Father."

(pretends to panic)

Raja Daha :  "What's wrong with him?"

Ajeng :  “He… he has been in a close relationship with one of our bodyguards, Dad! Here, I found the love letter that Kirana wrote for the bodyguard in her room!”

Raja Daha :  (Read the letter and get angry)

"WHAT!? What a naughty girl, an ignorant child! Already about to get married, you even made love to that insolent bodyguard!”

Ajeng :  "Father, be patient, father, be patient"

(Calming and secretly he smiles sinisterly)

Raja Daha :  "Kirana!! Kira!!!"

Kirana :  "What's wrong, Father?"

Raja Daha  : “What is it, you say!? Read this!!"

(Throws the letter in Kirana's face)

“How dare you, huh…!!”

Kirana :  (Reads the letter and shakes his head frantically)

“Oh, this is Father's slander! I never do that! Please Father , trust me!”

Raja Daha  : "Enough!! Get out of this palace! Go out!! You with that bastard bodyguard, get out!!!”

Kira :  (crying)

"But, Father..."

Raja Daha :  "GET OUT!!!"

SCENE 4

Candra Kirana felt very sad and she left the palace. He went to the beach and there he met the Witch.

Witch :  “Hwahahahaha!! Hello Candra Kirana! How are you, Huh? You seem very sad today? Hwahahahaha…”

Kira :  "Who are you? Why are you so ugly?”

Witch :  "Shut up! I'm here to curse you into a snail!! What kind of brother is your brother that he wants me to curse you!!? You know, he doesn't agree with your marriage! Hwahahahaha!!”

Kira  : "What? Galuh Ajeng wants to curse me?!”

Witch :  "That's right! Stupid girl! Take this!! ABROKOKOK!! Hwahahahaha!!”

Kirana  : "AAAAAA!!!!" (Turns into a snail)

Witch  : “Hwahahaha!!!! You'll only be human during the day, but when it's late at night, you'll be back to being a snail!! This curse will end when you meet Raden Inu!! Hwahahaha…Goodbye!!!”

SCENE 5

Candra Kirana has been cursed to become a golden snail. And just stranded on the beach of Dadapan Village. One day, there was a woman who was fishing on the beach. He found the golden snail, and brought it home .

Mbok Rondo  : "Oh, a very beautiful snail!! I will take him home!”

Arriving at the hut, Mbok Rondo put the conch in a safe place. Then he rested for a while on the chair.

Mbok Rondo :  "Hufh, until this afternoon I haven't gotten any fish. I have to fish again, if I don't get fish, what will I eat?"

(Goes out to fish)

Kirana :  "Loh, why am I here? Oh yes, there was a grandmother who brought me. I'm so sorry for the grandmother, to just eat she has to find fish first. I will buy food for him.”

With the money she brought from the palace, Kirana bought delicious food for Grandma. The food was laid out neatly on the table. When the day began to fall, and the grandmother had not yet returned, Kirana had to return to being a snail.

Kirana :  "AAAAAA!!!"

The next day, Kirana returned to provide food for her grandmother. But he didn't know that today Grandma would come home earlier than usual because again she didn't get any fish.

Kirana :  "While Grandma hasn't come home, I'd better immediately prepare food for her..."

Grandma :  (Goes home and is shocked to see Kirana)

“Huh, who is that girl?”

( Talk to himself then reprimand Kirana)

"Who are you??"

Kirana :  (looks surprised)

“I….I…I am Candra Kirana.”

Grandma  : "What? Chandra Kirana? Correct?"

Kirana :  "Yes, I am Candra Kirana, daughter of Raja Daha."

Grandma :  "Then why are you here?"

Kirana :  “You are the one who brought me here. I am the Mas conch that you found yesterday, Grandma…”

Grandma :  "What? You are the golden snail? How could that be?"

Raden Inu :  “There is no way Candra Kirana did all this! There must be someone slandering him!! I have to find out who that person is!”

(Exit the Palace)

On the way he met a witch .

Witch :  (Fans the envelope filled with money)

“Hwahahaha… I'm so lucky to be able to earn a lot of money today!! Fortunately, I managed to comply with Galuh Ajeng's request to curse Candra Kirana and make her annulled her marriage to Raden Inu! And it's a pity that the guard who was also slandered by Galuh Ajeng, he had to be willing to be expelled from the palace because he was accused of having sex with Candra Kirana! Hwahahahaha…”

Raden Inu :  "What? What did you say? Is what you said true?"

Raden Inu :  “My lord, what actually happened to Candra Kirana? Why did you throw him out?”

Raja Daha :  “I am sure you will not believe this news. He has betrayed you!”

Raden Inu :  "No! That's not true, my lord! Candra Kirana has been slandered by Galuh Ajeng!”

Raja Daha :  “Why do you talk like that? How do you know?"

Raden Inu:  (Bring the magician to Raja Daha)

Witch :  "Really, my lord?"

Ajeng :  (Kneeling at the feet of Raja Daha)

SCENE 8

After that, Raden Inu wandered in search of Candra Kirana. Until finally he arrived at a village and he found a hut .

(Goes to the hut)

Raden Inu :  "That's not important. Obviously I'm happy that I found you. I've been looking for you for days. Come on, go home…The truth has been revealed. Your father is waiting, he can't wait to see you."
